LMC Global missionaries visited Awomberew Baptist Church at Gomoa Awombrew (a village in between Winneba and Sweduo) for evangelism and Church growth. We arrived early in the morning at about 8: 00 am on Sunday morning. The journey was peaceful and the team was ready for Church service with the Baptist Church. Pastor Obed Richards led the church in the opening prayer section; it was a wonderful time in God’s presence.
Thereafter we had a short meeting with the Church Elders and discussed about how the church should engaged in evangelism within the community. Rev Ed Arcton was in charge of the meeting and the discussion; it was very interactive and impactful and everyone was graciously blessed. Pastor Fred Otsiwah and Pastor Isaac inspired the congregant with Words of exhortation from the Scriptures. At the end of the meeting, the church elders were equipped and edify and understood the necessity why the whole church must pray and share the word of God with their neighbors. The meeting was brought to a close in unity of prayer.
Now is the time for visitation and evangelism in the community, We divided ourselves into two groups; group one was assigned to visit those living far away from the Church premises and group two was task to visit those around the church environment respectfully. We went out visiting members of the local church, prayed for the sick and encouraging others to be strong in the Lord and be a faithful Disciples of Christ. About one and half hours we reassembly at the Church premises again for prayers. Minister Ruth led us in worship while Pastor Fred Otsiwah takes charge of the prayer session for an hour. It was an awesome time waiting and interceding in the presence of God. We climax our visit with other prayers for the nation Ghana and the local churches in Gomoa Awomberew, it was led by Pastor Obed.
The Lord blesses the people of Awombrew community and the Baptist Church with our present in the community. Later in the afternoon after accomplishing the purpose of our visit we decide to return back to home with the promises to return in a short possible time for another missionary work.
